About the event
Our FIRST ever open house will take place on Saturday, July 29th. Kids, Adults, Grandparents...everyone will love a look behind the scenes at what we're doing at Swazey Farms. We will be hosting this event with our partners at Bears Head Preserve in Mays Landing. Come get a look, up close and personal, at our beehives (Yes, we have a veil you can wear!). See how the bees work within our hives and ask questions about pollination and where our food comes from. We've also got chickens to pet, hold and photograph. Or perhaps a nature walk is more your speed... Charlene will be guiding a nature walk through the woods discussing native plants and their holistic properties. If nature isn't your thing, step inside the barn and take a break where you can get hands on with some bee-keeping equipment. Every paid child in attendance will receive an awesome…
